1. Who we are

2. Eligibility

• The main driver must be at least 23 years old.
• The driver must hold a valid, full driving licence recognised in Spain and must have held it for at least 2 years.
• A valid identity document (passport or national ID) and the driving licence must be presented at handover. We may refuse delivery if documents cannot be verified.

3. Bookings and payment

• Bookings are made online. All prices are shown in euros (€) and include unlimited mileage unless stated otherwise.
• The minimum rental period is 3 days. Bookings must be made a minimum amount of time in advance, as indicated during checkout.
• The rental charge is taken at the time of booking via our payment provider, Stripe. Your booking is confirmed once payment is successful.

4. Security deposit

A refundable security deposit is held on your payment card at the time of booking. The amount depends on the vehicle and the protection tier you choose and is shown before you pay. The deposit is a pre-authorised hold, not a charge; it is released after the vehicle is returned in the same condition, subject to any deductions for damage, fines, missing fuel or breaches of these terms.

5. Delivery and collection

• We are a delivery-based service. We deliver and collect the vehicle at Palma Airport, your hotel or villa, or another agreed location in Mallorca. A delivery & handover fee applies as shown at checkout.
• After booking, we confirm the exact meeting point and delivery time with you (for example via WhatsApp). Please be available at the agreed time; delays caused by the customer may reduce the rental period without refund.

6. Protection and insurance

Each rental includes a protection tier (for example Basic Protection or Full Coverage), selected at booking. The tier determines the daily rate, the security deposit amount, and your financial responsibility (excess) in the event of damage or theft. Details of what each tier covers are provided during booking and at handover.

7. Use of the vehicle

• The vehicle may be driven only within Mallorca unless we agree otherwise in writing. It may not be taken off the island (for example by ferry) without our prior consent.
• Only named, authorised drivers may drive the vehicle.
• The vehicle must not be used for any illegal purpose, for racing or off-road driving, to carry passengers or goods for hire, to tow, or while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Smoking in the vehicle is not permitted.

8. Fuel

The vehicle is supplied with a given fuel level and should be returned at the same level. Missing fuel, and any associated refuelling charge, may be deducted from the deposit.

9. Fines, tolls and penalties

You are responsible for all traffic fines, penalties, tolls and related administrative charges incurred during your rental. Where an authority contacts us regarding an offence, we may be required to provide your details and may charge a reasonable administration fee.

10. Accidents, damage and breakdown

In the event of an accident, damage, theft or breakdown, you must contact us as soon as possible and, where relevant, notify the police and obtain a report. You must not authorise repairs without our agreement. Any damage not covered by your protection tier may be deducted from the deposit up to the applicable excess.

11. Cancellations and changes

If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us as early as possible at info@vuarrent.com. Any applicable cancellation terms and refunds will be handled in accordance with Spanish consumer law.

12. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Subject to that, our liability in connection with a rental is limited to the amount you paid for that rental.

13. Data protection

We process your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have.
